Pickleball has gone from a handful of converted tennis and badminton courts to one of the fastest-growing sports in the country, with dedicated facilities now open from BGC and Quezon City to Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, and Baguio. It's easy to pick up — the paddle is simple, the court is small, and a beginner can rally within minutes — but there's real depth once you learn the kitchen rule, the third-shot drop, and how to play the soft game. If you're new, start with a pair of court shoes (not running shoes), a mid-weight paddle, and outdoor balls for the typical open-air Philippine court.
